When I Think of Child Development

A happy child makes a happy home
A happy home promotes a happy village
A happy village affects a city
which in turn inspires a state
A happy state touches a nation
A happy nation helps create
a happy world
So raising a happy child
is the most important thing
in the world

It's hard for me to comprehend that our course in Development is over... where did the 8 weeks fly to?  I have learned more than I ever imagined possible.  Our discussions have enlightened me in numerous ways; thank you for sharing so much of yourselves.  A special thank you to Melinda who has traveled down this road with me during our first 2 classes; please keep in touch.  I feel as if we have formed a friendship, and I hope we have other classes together.  AND... to Dr. Myers, your comments and support have meant the world to me.  You have pushed me to new plateaus, and I am a better educator because of your teaching.  I am sorry to see this class come to an end!

  1. Lois,

I love the picture and phrase that you chose. How true it is. I appreciate so much your personal touch in each discussion and blog. You truly have a heart for early childhood. I hope that our paths will cross again as we move on the journey of a Master's Degree.

  2. Lois, I feel like I have learned so much from you. Thank you for your always informative & enlightening blog and discussion posts. Thank you also for your positive and encouraging responses to my posts.

I have sent you the new early childhood curriculum that we are proposing to adopt locally, three times now, but I'm not sure why you are not getting it. If you send me your mailing address I would be happy to print it out and send you a hard copy. I really do value your opinion and would like to hear what you think about it.

I really love your picture and quote above. Like you I can't believe we have come to the end of 8 weeks already! I wish you all the best as you continue this journey and I certainly hope our paths cross again! Delores
